Posting: How to do it.

Please read our “Terms of Use” page before posting.

How to Post

Go to the blog and click “Log In” on the right, near where you originally clicked to register.

Log in with the username and password you chose when you registered.

If you plan on posting often (and we hope you do) you can bookmark the sign in page, check “remember me”, and in the future it will be that much easier to get to the right place and sign in.

When the next page opens, look on the left and you will see a box headed Posts.

Click “Posts” , then click “Add New” and the author window will open.

Write your post in that window just like you write emails.

Make sure you use a title (the first box) and then put the post in the larger text box.  When you are finished you can assign it a category at the lower right.  Everything else, including the “Posted by” information will be filled in for you automatically when you post it.

Read your post over, make sure it is the way you want it, and then click the blue “Submit for Approval” button to the right side toward the top of the page.

THIS IS IMPORTANT!

Once you submit the post by clicking that blue button you will no longer be able to edit that post.  You must make sure that it is the way you want it to be before you submit it.  Once it is published, if you want changes made to it you will have to contact the Blog admin and ask him to change the post or delete it for you.   So please, read your posts over carefully before you hit “Submit”.

When the page refreshes you are finished and can go back to the blog site from the link at the top left, in the black header bar, or just close out the window.

The administrator will be notified automatically that there is a new post in the submission queue.  We will check the post and publish it as soon as we can.  Usually this can be done within an hour or two but occassionally life interferes and it will take a little longer.  Please be patient.  We wish we could skip this step but experience has shown that is a mistake.  No posts will be refused publication in order to censor anyone’s ideas or right to speak them.  In fact, we welcome posts of opposing views or pointing out things we may be overlooking about situations.  However, rambling or repetitive rants may be tossed as well as duplicated posts or posts with factual errors and unintelligible language.  Sorry, but if you want to post things like that you will have to find another soapbox or get your own.
